Baseball
Baseball is a sport that many kids play when they are young. I started playing when I was 5 years old. It can be played in many different varieties which is usually based on the age of the people playing it. There is tee ball, coach pitch, 10 players in the field, and 9 players in the field. This is one of the most globalized sports that there is, with about 29% of players on MLB opening day rosters in 2023 not being born in America. The most popular baseball league is the MLB, which is the baseball league in America. Many people from around the world try to play in the MLB, even if their country has their own league. This sport is also called "America's Favorite Pastime>"
I love this post! I agree it is a globalized sport. I too began playing baseball at the age of 7 and fell in love with the game. I am entering my Senior College season and can't imagine it coming to an end. Not many people have the opportunity to play at a collegiate level and I am grateful that I was able to do so. For those who get to go on to play in the MLB, that is a great accomplishment. There are also many international leagues that many go on to play in.
